DYED HEAVEN
Award winning quilter and textile artist Lisa Walton is holding her second solo exhibition Dyed Heaven from 29th August to 9th September at the Chrissie Cotter Gallery in Sydney. Lisa is well know for her original designs using her own hand dyed and painted fabrics and has recently been awarded major prizes at the Sydney Quilt Show. Her work has been exhibited in Europe, Middle East and at the prestigious International Quilt Festival in Houston. Over the last few years she has been venturing into the more three dimensional style of textiles using embellishments such as beads, felt and metallic painted surfaces. This exhibition will be a wonderful opportunity to see the development of her work over the last few years.
The Exhibition will be opened by Dr Annette Gero, quilt historian and author, on Wednesday 29th August 6 to 8pm. Exhibition is open from Wed - Sun from 11am to 4pm at Pidcock St Camperdown.
Here is Pick Up Sticks to give you a taste of Lisa's work.
