We are proud to announce the launch of iQuilt the Australian online quilting magazine
After months of hard work we have finally launched. To draw a quilting analogy, we have had a few blocks we have needed to undo and re-sew along the way, but that is to be expected when you are developing a new concept.
So what is iQuilt? It is an online magazine that is "published" fortnightly. The content will be mainly quilting, and mainly from Australian sources. But we will also bring you major international events as they happen. Several recent exhibitiions are featured in this issue.
In every issue, there will be 4 projects, news of significant events in the last fortnight, feature articles, regular columns and quilting know how. And if we know about it, we will tell you what is on that fortnight.
Usually iQuilt Projects will include a kit with a direct link to where you can buy it and something small which is quick and easy to make.
iQuilt News will be current and keep you up to date on what is happening in the quilting world.
iQuilt Features will be varied and cover a range of topics. They may give you more detail about a news item or profile a quiltmaker. In future issues, too, there will be lots of give-aways and competitions for you to enter.
Over a period of time, iQuilt Know How will build to a great, readily available resource for quilters.
iQuilt Talk, our regular columns, will inform and educate you. Read the Editor's Wrap for information about each issue, Technically Speaking from Nora on what's new at iQuilt and how to access it, Ask iQuilt for answers to your quilting questions, Superior News on Threads from award-winning quilter, Julie Woods, Threads and Things from Maree Gebhardt with updates on the latest gadgets, and Browse, an internet roundup from Nora. As iQuilt grows we hope to add to this list.
So welcome, have a look around, register for extra benefits, tell your friends, visit often and enjoy.
