Prompted by a posting on Southern Cross Quilters about an online quilting magazine a few years ago, Nora Buckley pursued the idea and iQuilt is the result.
Nora Buckley is a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer. She worked for State Rail until the birth of her second child. Her interests include anything to do with fibres and fabrics (such as spinning, knitting, felting, weaving, screen printing, sewing and quilting) and squash, skiing, sailing, motorcycling and gliding. She has renovated 3 houses and is in the process of building another that she thinks of as Nora's folly. It is special but has been a huge effort due to a very difficult building site amongst other things. She is currently studying a Masters of Industrial Property so she can help her husband in his intellectual property practice. So as you can see Nora is a hands on, try most things, active kind of girl.
We would like to tell you a little about iQuilt and what we hope to achieve
iQuilt is an online quilting magazine with primarily Australian quilting content. This is the perfect way to have a quilt magazine - stored on line for you and accessible whenever you want to read.
We want to introduce quilting to internet users.
We aim to provide internet quilters with an informative and entertaining experience.
We want to provide quilt designers with another avenue of selling their product.
We want to provide businesses with an economic means of advertising their business and products.
And most importantly, we want to have fun
