The Tasmanian Quilting Guild held their annual quilt exhibition, Island Threads Quilt Spectacular 2007 at the Derwent Entertainment Centre, Hobart on 28 - 31 March. As well as a wonderful collection of members work, other quilts were displayed including Hot, Hot, Hot – quilts made by Northern Territory quilters, Pe-ac-ed with Love – quilts made by family and partners of Australian War Veterans and a collection of quilts made by primary and secondary students.

A Celebration of Australian Flora (121cm x 168cm) by Ellie Neal
Hand pieced, hand and machine appliquéd, embroidery embellishment, machine quilted on a domestic machine.
